Diffusion through Non-linear Cylinders

چکیده

Ah&r&--In this paper, we study the problems of radial diffusion of a fluid through a hollow non-linearly elastic orthotropic cylinder. It is found that shearing and stretching have qualitatively different effects on the diifusion process. The effect of orthotropy on the difision process is also studied. These results are compared with those for the isotropic case [cf. Znr. 1. Engng Sci. 25, 1441-1457 (1987)].
